blogging experience

its something new to me never did it before but im not sure if i really like the flow of blogging about stuff all the time maybe ince in awhile but not everyday thing for me

my topic reflection

i know that there are people who get away with murdering someone because of there identity or what ever else. this topic is something that should be looked more into and the law should have a stricter punishment for it not make up some stupid defense to kill someone beacuse there homosexual or anything theres still a human so does that make it right?

i want to know why people feel the need to commint these kind of crimes and what drives them to and also why the law dosent have a stricter punishment for this type of thing.

to find out wh i will use bing.com to search what questions i have to find stories and articles on the crimes that have been looked at to be hate crimes and ones that havent but should and reflect one those stories.

yes, the site is creditable all the way at the bottoms it says who it belongs to and its a .net

the shooting thaat happened here was really sad and i know it must have felt really awful to be at work and hear that your child is in a school were there is a shooting occuring the  student must have been really scared and nervous because they were just shoting randomly and not caring who it was. it not there fault you were excluded from some other people so why just kill them all...

  • The courts all agreed that it was violating section one of there constitution.
  • The talk that because its against christian belief to be homosexual and their protesting it causing problems politically.
  • A man happy because the law has been "struck down" talks that he went to jail for "hate crime" for speaking the gospel.

information about hate crime

Hate crime is the violence of intolerance and bigotry, intended to hurt and intimidate someone because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, religious, sexual orientation, or disability. The purveyors of hate use explosives, arson, weapons, vandalism, physical violence, and verbal threats of violence to instill fear in their victims, leaving them vulnerable to more attacks and feeling alienated, helpless, suspicious and fearful. Others may become frustrated and angry if they believe the local government and other groups in the community will not protect them. When perpetrators of hate are not prosecuted as criminals and their acts not publicly condemned, their crimes can weaken even those communities with the healthiest race relations.
Of all crimes, hate crimes are most likely to create or exacerbate tensions, which can trigger larger community-wide racial conflict, civil disturbances, and even riots. Hate crimes put cities and towns at-risk of serious social and economic consequences. The immediate costs of racial conflicts and civil disturbances are police, fire, and medical personnel overtime, injury or death, business and residential property loss, and damage to vehicles and equipment. Long-term recovery is hindered by a decline in property values, which results in lower tax revenues, scarcity of funds for rebuilding, and increased insurance rates. Businesses and residents abandon these neighborhoods, leaving empty buildings to attract crime, and the quality of schools decline due to the loss of tax revenue. A municipality may have no choice but to cut services or raise taxes or leave the area in its post-riot condition until market forces of supply and demand rebuild the area

In 1996, the FBI received reports of 10,706 hate crimes from State and local law enforcement agencies, involving 11,039 victims, and 10,021 known perpetrators. The crimes included 12 murders, 10 forcible rapes, 1,444 aggravated assaults, 1,762 simple assaults, and 4,130 acts of intimidation.
Among the known perpetrators, 66 percent were white, and 20 percent were black. Some perpetrators commit hate crimes with their peers as a "thrill" or while under the influence of drugs or alcohol; some as a reaction against a perceived threat or to preserve their "turf'; and some who out of resentment over the growing economic power of a particular racial or ethnic group engage in scapegoating.

Hate Crimes

So my topic is on hate crimes, which i think is a problem that is not taken too serious because there are a lot of hate crimes that are committed and aren't even  brought to court and even the ones that are there are defenses used against the LGBT community such as the Gay Panic Defense which is legal and is used in murder or assault charges where the defendant claims they were subjected to sexual advances that caused them temporary insanity. now there shouldn't be a reason as far as this to go around killing someone because there gay or lesbian and not have no type of punishment. in 2008 1,617 hate crime offenses based on sexual-orientation bias were reported by
law enforcement agencies. Of these offenses:
58.6 percent were classified as anti-male homosexual bias.

25.7 percent were reported as anti-homosexual bias.

12.0 percent were prompted by an anti-female homosexual bias.

2.0 percent were the result of an anti-heterosexual bias.
1.7 percent were classified as anti-bisexual bias.
During the last two decades of the twentieth century, nearly every state enacted a hate crime law of some kind. Most of these statutes took the form of sentence enhancements for existing crimes. Others defined new substantive criminal offenses or created new private causes of action.
in an article i read a guy was beat up and he was straight but was helping a gay guy from getting beat up and was called a "Gay Lover"
